If you look past all the steroid nonsense, which I could shit on for days on end, this season has a whole new look and feel. There were a few big names moving around the league. Competition is going to be the headliner this year. I believe the American League has the upper hand in the start, but Divisions are going to be real tight all throughout the MLB this season.
Players to watch for: Miguel Cabrera - Joining the Detroit Tigers should sky-rocket this guy’s numbers. With Curtis Granderson and Placidio Polance batting in front of him, and the rest of the offense (Sheffield, Ordonez, Casey, Rodriguez), all his batting stats should rise from his already outstanding production. With a solid staff to add, Cabrera, and the Tigers, will do big things. — Johan Santana - Like nobody was watching this guy anyway. Santana’s move to the Mets was huge for him. I don’t think there is much question that he is the best pitcher in the league. The staff there is up there with the most intimidating in the league now. Johan Santana, Pedro Martinez, John Maine, Oliver Perez, Orlando Hernandez. And they are in the National League to boot! This team is stacked on both sides of the game. This is why I make these predictions for the 2008 season… The Mets will be the #1 team in the NL, and Johan Santana will have a 2.10 (max) ERA. Bold?
